A custom foam material company required a method by which custom cut blocks
of specialty foam could be easily identified after the manual cutting process.
The process involved a manual cutting table with no conveyor or method of moving the product, however an inkjet was required since a manual ink stamping process would have been too cumbersome with the frequently changing sizes.
The Evolution Hand-Held was chosen because of it’s low cost and ease of programming without requiring a conveyor.
An operator simply types the desired foam product code and on the second line types in the custom cut block dimensions.
To apply the print, the handheld inkjet is “swiped” past the block at close range, which applies the print.
